In November 2005 I formed a new folkband to play my own songs and a couple of tunes written by some of my favourite songwriters.
Me on vocals and accoustic guitar, Gjermund Larsen on fiddle, Jan Martin Smørdal on guitar and Sigurd Hole on bass,
made our first appearance together on stage at Parkteateret in Oslo (view snapshots in the Gallery).

Me on vocals, Jari Bakken on guitar, Sigurd Hole on bass and Jonas Sjøvaag on drums,
have been playing together for some time, and formed Mattis Myrland Quartet in 2005.
We pick out the most beautiful pieces of jazz standards, and do them the old-fashioned way.
In January 2006 we'll start working on our first album, with Jon Eberson as our producer.
